In a bid to protect public events such as the Christmas markets, Manchester City Council has invested in concrete safety barriers around Albert Square. As they are to be in situ for a further six years, keeping them looking clean and tidy is at the top of the Council’s agenda.
The barriers had begun to look somewhat murky, which is why we were drafted in to give them a deep clean and refresh the area.
Albert Square is a particularly busy area of Manchester, close to bars, restaurants, art galleries and the library. Therefore, you can imagine the amount of traffic it has and how dirty the surrounding areas can get.
We avoided the use of harsh chemicals and gave the barriers a deep clean by using a mixture of power washing, scrubbing and brushing. Our machinery can generate steam with temperatures in excess of 100 degrees Celsius, which means it does a fantastic job of removing surface grime and stains.
In addition to the industrial cleaning side of things we also removed an existing paint mark that was no longer required. Overall, our work has kept the area looking clean, approachable and in great condition.
At Ramora, we only employ the best highly skilled operatives that work to provide a range of services, including industrial cleaning, jet washing, forecourt cleaning, building cleaning, street cleaning and general maintenance.
