We’re proud to confirm the completion of a major deep cleanse operation in the heart of Birmingham City Centre.
The team undertook the first ever deep cleanse performed at the multistorey car park at Friston Avenue in central Birmingham, which serves the local business and tourism community encompassing Broad Street, Brindley Place, The National Sea Life Centre and Birmingham Symphony Hall.
The site is a large and extremely busy car park that is open seven days a week and had never been subject to a high intensity clean before, so we certainly had a big job on our hands! Surface dirt and debris were at a very advanced level and required intensive cleaning, whilst chewing gum removal was significantly higher than seen at similar projects.
An operation spanning over four floors, this project required the full range of high-standard steam cleaning expertise offered by the team at Ramora – including treatment of floors, walls, ceilings, pillars, metalwork and lights.
With this project as with any other, we were committed to not using chemicals when cleaning the car park and worked out of normal hours to avoid service disruption to the thousands who use the facility each week.
Although the site had potential restrictions with regard to drainage, we were able to work with our scrubber drier technology to retrieve any water after the deep clean process and leave the surface dry and clean for business each morning.
The work was undertaken in partnership with Birmingham-based developers Colmore Tang, an award-winning construction and property management consultancy currently overlooking some of the biggest and most ambitious projects in the city.
In addition to car parks deep cleans, we also offer full car park refurbishment projects. Ramora recently refurbished the Victoria Centre car park in Nottingham, if you would like to learn more, please visit our Structural Refurbishment pages for further information.
