In recent years, Ramora have developed strong relationships with many local authorities and BIDs. As a result, we regularly complete extensive deep cleaning projects in busy retail areas throughout the country. Between Sunday 19th May and Wednesday 22nd May, we tackled some of the busiest retail streets in Worcester city centre.
On behalf of Worcester Business Improvement District, we carried out street cleaning services on Pump Street, Mealcheapen Street and New Street, helping to keep these parts of the city looking their best and more appealing to locals and visitors alike.
As is the case with any city centre, in addition to air pollution from vehicles, Worcester’s shopping areas are subjected to heavy footfall on a daily basis. Home to many pubs, bars, eateries and shops, Mealcheapen Street, Pump Street and New Street are always busy. As a result, the paving stones quickly become dirty and discoloured without regular cleaning.
To restore paving stones in Worcester to their original colour, we used our specialist Falch floor skater steam cleaning equipment. Using a carefully calculated combination of high temperature and pressure, we blast dirt, debris and chewing gum away from the pavements, providing a clear finish. Using our specialist steam cleaning machinery, our trained operators can deep clean as many as 1000 square metres in a shift.
Following the completion of our work on New Street, our client Worcester BID was extremely happy with the results, saying “you can really see the difference”. To ensure minimal disruption for businesses and people in the area, we carried out all deep cleaning work during the evening and overnight.
