St Phillip’s Cathedral is part of the Church of England and is an extremely important feature at the heart of Birmingham. Though first constructed as a parish church, the city’s attraction gained Cathedral status in 1905 and forms a stunning centrepiece of the main square off Colmore Row – an extremely busy and thriving area.
Being part of the Colmore Business Improvement District (BID) and with a rich heritage that attracts tourism, first impressions do really count, which is why we were approached by the Colmore BID to carry out a deep cleanse throughout the grounds of the cathedral.
Colmore BID upholds deep cleaning and chewing gum removal programme from its streets three times a year, with the aim to maintain a cleaner and more attractive area for Birmingham’s residents and visitors. The Ramora team provide this service for St Phillip’s Cathedral under the BID, giving the area a thorough, efficient clean to remove built-up dirt and chewing gum.
Our safe and non-chemical street cleaning service can improve even the most contaminated surfaces, up to 500 square metres per shift. We only use steam, with the perfect combination of temperature and pressure, meaning that there are no environmental implications when we remove chewing gum from the Colmore area. Our skilled operators will ensure that the surfaces are cleaned of all dirt along with chewing gum and stains, helping to maintain the cathedral’s charm.
Because the cathedral is open from 7.30am on weekdays and conducts guided tours and exhibitions, we carry out the cleaning process after working hours to adhere to health and safety requirements and minimise disruption to others in the District.
