For around 5 years, Ramora have worked on various sites in and around West London for Hounslow Housing. In late 2014, we carried out a complete external clean of a high rise block in Hounslow and last year we carried out an extensive building clean at Spooner House, an apartment block in the Heston Farm Estate.
Last week, we started carrying out work on another site, Charlton House, a large block of flats in Brentford, Greater London. Over the years, with the balconies and walkways being open to the elements and exposed to air pollution, there has understandably been a build-up of surface dirt, grime and algae. We were called upon to provide an intensive clean and restore the balconies of the building to provide a safer and more pleasant environment for residents and visitors.
We used steam to blast off the built up dirt from the walkways, walls and windowsills. Our state of the art equipment allows us to provide a deep clean without causing damage to the surfaces that we work on, whilst remaining as environmentally friendly as possible.
As the balconies of Charlton house are 2 storeys apart, this provided an obstacle for us to clean the upper window sills and the roof created by the balcony above. In this case, we did not have to resort to using access machinery or utilising rope access technology. To access the higher reaching surfaces, we were able to use extendable poles and lances to provide an efficient clean.
